FOR ORPHAN BLIND

BLIND SCHOOL & HOME:

The school/Rehabilitation center and home is started in 2007, Located in Hyderabad, the Rehabilitation center preferred the blind children age should be in between 8 to 20 years. In This organization supporting and feeding the PHC, HIV/Aids children also. The Good friend Organization provides free Education, Medical aid, Clothing, Boarding and Lodging to the inmates. Apart from these, the school also has a unique academic and vocational curriculum that is tailored specifically for the disabled and is replete with self-help skills that are aimed at rehabilitating and empowering disabled children from rural and semi-urban areas. The School provides regular education to children from foundation to 10th grade and hostel facility to students pursuing their higher education.

VOCATIONAL:

The concept of Vocational training & Self Sustain Project of GOOD FRIEND School for the blind & orphan blind gents preferable age between 25 to 40 years only. makes the assumption that disabled develop capacities & predictable sequence throughout the life span. At each developmental stage new capabilities emerge. These capabilities or potentials are in every disabled. GOOD FRIEND vocational projects are expected to design the training through which the disabled as a whole develop the capabilities to become a useful member in the society.

Thus Vocational training is imparted in the making of chalk, candle, phenol, cane / plastic weaving, bakery, screen printing, greeting cards, envelops, incense sticks Music – Vocal and Instrumental, Dramatics and Physical Education.

OTHER COURSES:

Computer courses are also offered as advanced education for blind.

Spoken English and Foreign languages.

OLD AGE HOME:

For UN-hoped persons and blind’s preferable age above 50 years. We are running old age home in Pedavadlapudi, Guntur dist.
